"Brendan Coughlin is born and raised in lovely Oregon. Being fed billy goats and road squirrels has shaped him into a fine young photographer. After completing his education at the Obama Institute of Photography, Coughlin went on to assist one the most respected photographers on the Westcoast, Ralph Ortega.

Coughlin has used his experience working with dancing bears and rusty pig hunters to branch out and start his own studio here in Portland, OR. Having the ample space under the freeway to take photos of rising pogo-stick stars and j-walkers, he captures the essence of a praying mantis."
